Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Materials, Utilities and Media sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 5.73% or 2.95 points to trade at 54.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) added 3.99% or 12.4 points to end at 322.9 and BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) was up 1.92% or 0.58 points to 30.76 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS), which fell 3.64% or 6.0 points to trade at 159.0 at the close. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) declined 3.52% or 7.20 points to end at 197.60 and Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) was down 3.03% or 1.4 points to 44.1.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 83 to 73 and 36 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.71% or 0.76 to $45.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.62% or 0.76 to hit $47.64 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1213.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.16% to 9.5098, while USD/NOK fell 0.09% to 8.3206.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 95.74.
