Investing.com – Nigeria stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Banking and Food, Beverages & Tobacco sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lagos, the NSE 30 lost 0.65%.
The best performers of the session on the NSE 30 were Fidelitybk (LAGOS:FIDELIT), which rose 8.70% or 0.080 points to trade at 1.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Uacn Prop (LAGOS:UACN) added 1.08% or 0.16 points to end at 14.94 and Access Bank (LAGOS:ACCESS) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to 6.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Diamond Bank (LAGOS:DIAMONB), which fell 3.53% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.820 at the close. Dangote Flour Mills PLC (LAGOS:DANGFLOUR) declined 3.08% or 0.14 points to end at 4.40 and Pz Cussons LG (LAGOS:PZ) was down 2.10% or 0.30 points to 14.15.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lagos by 26 to 12 and 66 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.28% or 0.15 to $53.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $55.98 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.45% or 18.15 to trade at $1272.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/NGN was up 0.39% to 334.540, while USD/NGN unchanged 0.00% to 317.500.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 100.63.
