Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Healthcare and Food Producers sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were DSM Kon (AMS:DSMN), which rose 4.53% or 2.31 points to trade at 53.34 at the close. Meanwhile, Altice SA (AMS:ATCE) added 2.10% or 2.35 points to end at 114.40 and KPN Kon (AMS:KPN) was up 1.92% or 0.064 points to 3.396 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Royal Dutch Shell A (AMS:RDSa), which fell 1.59% or 0.45 points to trade at 27.59 at the close. OCI (AMS:OCI) declined 0.77% or 0.205 points to end at 26.590 and Unilever NV (AMS:UNc) was down 0.75% or 0.29 points to 38.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 145 to 102 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Altice SA (AMS:ATCE) rose to all time highs; rising 2.10% or 2.35 to 114.40.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 4.90% to 18.08.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.58% or 0.35 to $59.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.07% or 0.04 to hit $66.66 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.12% or 1.50 to trade at $1223.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.08% to 1.1418, while EUR/GBP rose 0.18% to 0.7245.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 93.45.
