Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Distributors and Forestry & Paper sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.44% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Maghrebail (CS:MAB), which rose 3.80% or 29 points to trade at 800 at the close. Meanwhile, Ennakl (CS:NAKL) added 2.47% or 0.99 points to end at 40.99 and Brasseries Du Maroc (CS:SBM) was up 2.37% or 53 points to 2280 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR), which fell 6.00% or 8.10 points to trade at 126.90 at the close. Centrale Laitiere (CS:LAIT) declined 4.85% or 51 points to end at 1000 and Miniere Touissit (CS:CMT) was down 3.36% or 40 points to 1150.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 26 to 10 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Maghrebail (CS:MAB) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.80% or 29 to 800. Shares in Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) fell to 52-week lows; falling 6.00% or 8.10 to 126.90. Shares in Centrale Laitiere (CS:LAIT) fell to 5-year lows; down 4.85% or 51 to 1000.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.19% or 0.11 to $57.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.44% or 0.92 to hit $62.80 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.03% or 0.30 to trade at $1187.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.04% to 10.7440, while USD/MAD fell 0.03% to 9.8690.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.11% at 97.49.
