Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Construction & Building Materials, Distributors and Real Estate sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC), which rose 6.48% or 5.90 points to trade at 96.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Jet Contractors (CS:JET) added 5.84% or 8.00 points to end at 145.00 and Hps (CS:HPS) was up 5.00% or 30.00 points to 630.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Taslif (CS:TSF1), which fell 5.60% or 1.90 points to trade at 32.00 at the close. Dari Couspate SA (CS:DRI) declined 4.42% or 82 points to end at 1775 and Alliances (CS:ADI) was down 2.59% or 2 points to 86.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 17 to 15 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Taslif (CS:TSF1) fell to 3-years lows; down 5.60% or 1.90 to 32.00. Shares in Hps (CS:HPS) rose to 5-year highs; up 5.00% or 30.00 to 630.00.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.40% or 0.70 to $49.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.59% or 0.81 to hit $49.98 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.65% or 8.25 to trade at $1265.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.07% to 10.8090, while USD/MAD fell 0.13% to 9.9069.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 98.61.
