Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Beverage, Telecoms and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Alliances (CS:ADI), which rose 9.98% or 6 points to trade at 65 at the close. Meanwhile, Cartier Saada (CS:CRS) added 9.34% or 1.70 points to end at 19.90 and Timar (CS:TIM) was up 5.74% or 20.05 points to 369.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ennakl Automobiles SA (CS:NKL), which fell 6.00% or 3.54 points to trade at 55.46 at the close. Maghreb Oxygene (CS:OXYG) declined 5.21% or 5.31 points to end at 96.59 and Sonasid (CS:SOND) was down 4.06% or 20 points to 472.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 27 to 24 and 3 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.02% or 0.01 to $46.24 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.17% or 0.08 to hit $47.52 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.28% or 3.55 to trade at $1271.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.14% to 10.9700, while USD/MAD rose 0.20% to 9.6195.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.28% at 94.06.
