Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Forestry & Paper and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Stroc Industrie (CS:STR), which rose 4.14% or 1.88 points to trade at 47.33 at the close. Meanwhile, Risma (CS:RIS) added 2.85% or 2.95 points to end at 106.45 and Med Paper (CS:PAP) was up 2.59% or 0.48 points to 19.01 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR), which fell 9.84% or 9.50 points to trade at 87.00 at the close. Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO) declined 9.58% or 115 points to end at 1085 and Dari Couspate SA (CS:DRI) was down 5.97% or 118 points to 1857.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 16 to 15 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) fell to all time lows; down 9.84% or 9.50 to 87.00.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.09% or 0.55 to $49.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.98% or 0.51 to hit $51.44 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.12% or 1.55 to trade at $1257.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.10% to 10.8260, while USD/MAD fell 0.16% to 9.8408.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 97.86.
