At the close in Kuala Lumpur, the FTSE Malaysia KLCI gained 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the FTSE Malaysia KLCI were Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd (KL:FGVH), which rose 4.17% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.75 at the close. Meanwhile, MISC Bhd (KL:MISC) added 3.30% or 0.26 points to end at 8.15 and Hong Leong Bank Bhd (KL:HLBB) was up 2.38% or 0.32 points to 13.78 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were RHB Capital Bhd (KL:RHBC), which fell 3.00% or 0.22 points to trade at 7.11 at the close. Sapurakencana Petroleum Bhd (KL:SKPE) declined 2.83% or 0.07 points to end at 2.40 and KLCC Property Holdings Bhd (KL:KLCC) was down 2.11% or 0.15 points to 6.95.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange by 341 to 211 and 54 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.14% or 0.69 to $60.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.22% or 0.79 to hit $63.48 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.12% or 1.40 to trade at $1200.60 a troy ounce.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.32% at 94.52.
