Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (MI:UNPI), which rose 2.49% or 0.096 points to trade at 3.948 at the close. Meanwhile, UnipolSai Assicurazioni SpA (MI:US) added 2.44% or 0.050 points to end at 2.100 and Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) was up 1.62% or 0.36 points to 22.58 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF), which fell 3.60% or 0.490 points to trade at 13.110 at the close. Recordati (MI:RECI) declined 1.82% or 0.58 points to end at 31.32 and Tenaris (MI:TENR) was down 1.77% or 0.27 points to 14.96.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 211 to 134 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (MI:UNPI) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.49% or 0.096 to 3.948.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.53% or 0.26 to $49.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $51.75 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.29% or 3.55 to trade at $1233.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.05% to 1.0743, while EUR/GBP rose 0.42% to 0.8698.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 100.15.
