Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Azimut Holding (MI:AZMT), which rose 1.87% or 0.35 points to trade at 19.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Mediaset (MI:MS) added 1.35% or 0.050 points to end at 3.752 and Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (MI:UNPI) was up 1.13% or 0.048 points to 4.312 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Davide Campari Milano SpA (MI:CPRI), which fell 50.63% or 5.67 points to trade at 5.53 at the close. Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) declined 3.38% or 0.77 points to end at 22.03 and Banca Pop Emilia Romagna (MI:EMII) was down 2.49% or 0.130 points to 5.090.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 191 to 167 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (MI:UNPI) rose to 52-week highs; up 1.13% or 0.048 to 4.312.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.76% or 0.35 to $45.87 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.92% or 0.45 to hit $48.65 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.06% or 0.70 to trade at $1227.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.65% to 1.0926, while EUR/GBP fell 0.28% to 0.8449.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.60% at 99.01.
