Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Travel & Leisure and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER), which rose 2.97% or 0.71 points to trade at 24.58 at the close. Meanwhile, Recordati (MI:RECI) added 2.73% or 0.97 points to end at 36.48 and Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) was up 1.78% or 1.50 points to 85.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI), which fell 2.59% or 0.270 points to trade at 10.170 at the close. Exor NV (MI:EXOR) declined 2.18% or 1.11 points to end at 49.84 and Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) was down 1.98% or 0.0165 points to 0.8160.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 176 to 165 and 28 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) rose to all time highs; up 1.78% or 1.50 to 85.70.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.38% or 0.18 to $47.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.22% or 0.11 to hit $49.59 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.31% or 3.91 to trade at $1245.91 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 1.02% to 1.1632, while EUR/GBP rose 1.46% to 0.8970.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.61% at 94.06.
