Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Chemicals and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the FTSE MIB declined 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the FTSE MIB were Banco Popolare Sc (MILAN:BAPO), which rose 1.13% or 0.1800 points to trade at 16.1600 at the close. Meanwhile, Intesa Sanpaolo (MILAN:ISP) added 0.93% or 0.032 points to end at 3.460 and Autogrill (MILAN:AGL) was up 0.73% or 0.06 points to 8.27 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CNH Industrial NV (MILAN:CNHI), which fell 2.21% or 0.175 points to trade at 7.740 at the close. Finmeccanica (MILAN:SIFI) declined 2.12% or 0.270 points to end at 12.450 and Campari (MILAN:CPRI) was down 1.93% or 0.14 points to 7.11.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 228 to 218 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.78% or 0.33 to $42.74 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.28% or 0.14 to hit $48.60 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.25% or 2.80 to trade at $1115.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.44% to 1.1029, while EUR/GBP fell 0.89% to 0.7044.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.19% at 97.02.
