Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Chemicals and Travel & Leisure sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.49%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Ferrari NV (MI:RACE), which rose 1.17% or 1.10 points to trade at 94.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Mediaset (MI:MS) added 1.05% or 0.030 points to end at 2.876 and Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) was up 0.91% or 0.21 points to 23.26 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF), which fell 4.34% or 0.480 points to trade at 10.590 at the close. Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) declined 3.23% or 0.0230 points to end at 0.6895 and Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) was down 2.17% or 0.63 points to 28.42.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 272 to 104 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF) fell to 52-week lows; losing 4.34% or 0.480 to 10.590.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.21% or 0.12 to $56.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.77% or 0.49 to hit $63.03 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.35% or 4.52 to trade at $1278.72 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.08% to 1.1658, while EUR/GBP rose 0.62% to 0.8897.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 94.47.
