Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Utilities, Chemicals and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP), which rose 1.87% or 0.60 points to trade at 32.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Banca Popolare dell’Emilia Romagna (MI:EMII) added 1.65% or 0.082 points to end at 5.040 and Azimut Holding (MI:AZMT) was up 1.44% or 0.26 points to 18.27 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were A2A (MI:A2), which fell 1.68% or 0.025 points to trade at 1.459 at the close. Enel (MI:ENEI) declined 1.37% or 0.070 points to end at 5.040 and Banca Generali (MI:BGN) was down 1.08% or 0.31 points to 28.46.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 187 to 173 and 24 ended unchanged.
Shares in Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.87% or 0.60 to 32.70.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.48% or 0.77 to $51.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.34% or 0.77 to hit $56.80 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 1.35 to trade at $1289.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.30% to 1.1782, while EUR/GBP fell 0.15% to 0.8765.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 93.03.
