Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI), which rose 6.30% or 0.410 points to trade at 6.920 at the close. Meanwhile, Tenaris (MI:TENR) added 5.02% or 0.5800 points to end at 12.1400 and Banca Popolare di Milano Scarl (MI:PMII) was up 3.17% or 0.0153 points to 0.4977 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Popolare Sc (MI:BAPO), which fell 22.05% or 0.8720 points to trade at 3.0820 at the close. Leonardo Finmeccanica SpA (MI:LDOF) declined 2.12% or 0.215 points to end at 9.935 and Unicredit (MI:CRDI) was down 1.90% or 0.0500 points to 2.5860.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 232 to 155 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Banco Popolare Sc (MI:BAPO) fell to all time lows; down 22.05% or 0.8720 to 3.0820. Shares in Unicredit (MI:CRDI) fell to 3-years lows; down 1.90% or 0.0500 to 2.5860.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.81% or 0.88 to $49.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.47% or 0.73 to hit $50.37 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.26% or 3.25 to trade at $1246.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.06% to 1.1360, while EUR/GBP rose 0.40% to 0.7860.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 93.97.
