Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Oil & Gas and Travel & Leisure sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Anima Holding SpA (MI:ANIM), which rose 5.53% or 0.26 points to trade at 5.04 at the close. Meanwhile, Saipem (MI:SPMI) added 3.33% or 0.0130 points to end at 0.4035 and Banca Pop Emilia Romagna (MI:EMII) was up 2.56% or 0.108 points to 4.320 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI), which fell 2.44% or 0.165 points to trade at 6.595 at the close. Terna (MI:TRN) declined 1.69% or 0.082 points to end at 4.784 and Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (MI:BMPS) was down 1.48% or 0.0080 points to 0.5310.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 213 to 189 and 20 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.52% or 0.76 to $49.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.50% or 0.76 to hit $49.89 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.64% or 21.20 to trade at $1270.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.58% to 1.1249, while EUR/GBP fell 0.34% to 0.7674.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.45% at 94.10.
