Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Communication and Biomed sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 0.88% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Paz Oil (TA:PZOL), which rose 2.50% or 1400 points to trade at 57360 at the close. Meanwhile, OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) fell 0.18% or 11 points to end at 6274 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) was down 0.23% or 300 points to 128900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delek Group (TA:DLEKG), which fell 3.03% or 3400 points to trade at 108700 at the close. Avner L (TA:AVNRp) declined 3.02% or 9.0 points to end at 289.4 and Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) was down 3.02% or 48 points to 1543.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 240 to 88 and 125 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.22% or 0.64 to $51.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.10% or 0.06 to hit $56.80 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.61% or 7.00 to trade at $1159.60 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.04% to 3.7900, while EUR/ILS rose 0.56% to 4.1960.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.39% at 96.51.
