Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Biomed, Technology and Communication sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 fell 0.75%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp), which rose 2.78% or 30 points to trade at 1110 at the close. Meanwhile, Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) added 2.76% or 1680 points to end at 62480 and Avner L (TA:AVNRp) was up 2.71% or 5.7 points to 215.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which fell 7.34% or 325 points to trade at 4100 at the close. Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG) declined 4.26% or 660 points to end at 14820 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) was down 1.87% or 920 points to 48320.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 180 to 157 and 115 ended unchanged.
Shares in Perrigo (TA:PRGO) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.87% or 920 to 48320.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 3.20% or 1.26 to $38.13 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 2.79% or 1.14 to hit $39.73 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.49% or 6.00 to trade at $1228.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.02% to 3.8259, while EUR/ILS fell 0.13% to 4.2808.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 95.98.
