Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Biomed, Insurance and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 0.40%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Gazit Globe (TA:GZT), which rose 2.27% or 75 points to trade at 3375 at the close. Meanwhile, Frutarom (TA:FRUT) added 1.11% or 230 points to end at 20950 and Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF) was up 0.78% or 42 points to 5418 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which fell 1.77% or 75 points to trade at 4151 at the close. Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) declined 1.37% or 800 points to end at 57500 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) was down 1.36% or 460 points to 33460.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 182 to 146 and 115 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.28% or 0.59 to $46.65 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.33% or 0.64 to hit $48.88 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.90% or 10.60 to trade at $1189.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.60% to 3.8483, while EUR/ILS fell 0.71% to 4.0714.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.05% at 101.43.
