Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Real Estate, Communication and Biomed sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.73%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Newmed Energy LP (TASE:NWMDp), which rose 2.31% or 22.10 points to trade at 979.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Camtek Ltd (TASE:CAMT) added 1.81% or 530.00 points to end at 29,860.00 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) was up 1.58% or 200.00 points to 12,890.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG), which fell 4.71% or 246.00 points to trade at 4,981.00 at the close. Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) declined 3.05% or 3,010.00 points to end at 95,630.00 and Airport City Ltd (TASE:ARPT) was down 2.78% or 162.00 points to 5,673.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 331 to 144 and 64 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.01% or 0.01 to $85.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.08% or 0.07 to hit $89.49 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 4.45 to trade at $2,366.85 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 1.16% to 3.73, while EUR/ILS rose 0.13% to 4.01.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.90% at 104.86.
