Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Biomed sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.69%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Opko Health Inc (NASDAQ:OPK), which rose 3.81% or 0.180 points to trade at 4.900 at the close. Meanwhile, Airport City Ltd (TASE:ARPT) added 1.70% or 67 points to end at 4000 and Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE:AZRG) was up 1.36% or 240 points to 17900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Energix (TASE:ENRG), which fell 4.35% or 69 points to trade at 1518 at the close. International Flavors & Fragrances Inc (TASE:IFF) declined 2.99% or 1300 points to end at 42230 and Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TASE:DSCT) was down 2.83% or 30 points to 1030.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 198 to 196 and 30 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.10% or 0.47 to $42.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.12% or 0.51 to hit $44.92 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.06% or 20.75 to trade at $1969.75 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.17% to 3.4023, while EUR/ILS rose 0.12% to 4.0203.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 93.222.
