Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Insurance, Financials and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which rose 7.31% or 4890 points to trade at 71800 at the close. Meanwhile, ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) added 6.01% or 94 points to end at 1659 and Harel (TA:HARL) was up 5.03% or 100 points to 2089 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Partner (TA:PTNR), which fell 3.89% or 88 points to trade at 2172 at the close. Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd (TA:ALHE) declined 2.43% or 83 points to end at 3333 and Melisron (TA:MLSR) was down 2.15% or 420 points to 19120.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 192 to 191 and 61 ended unchanged.
Shares in Harel (TA:HARL) rose to 52-week highs; up 5.03% or 100 to 2089.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 2.35% or 1.18 to $49.10 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 2.17% or 1.15 to hit $51.96 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.49% or 5.90 to trade at $1203.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.04% to 3.6896, while EUR/ILS rose 0.34% to 3.9039.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 101.97.
