Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Insurance, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 0.62% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which rose 2.90% or 430 points to trade at 15250 at the close. Meanwhile, Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) added 2.21% or 2300 points to end at 106300 and Avner L (TA:AVNRp) was up 2.02% or 5.5 points to 277.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nice (TA:NICE), which fell 1.66% or 400 points to trade at 23750 at the close. Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) declined 1.45% or 10.9 points to end at 739.1 and First International Bank of Israel (TA:FTIN) was down 0.49% or 27 points to 5535.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 206 to 158 and 92 ended unchanged.
Shares in Frutarom (TA:FRUT) rose to all time highs; up 2.90% or 430 to 15250.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 1.58% or 0.79 to $49.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 2.95% or 1.69 to hit $55.41 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.96% or 11.60 to trade at $1196.60 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.50% to 3.9425, while EUR/ILS rose 0.58% to 4.2889.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.76% at 97.78.
