Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Insurance, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 gained 0.25% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which rose 1.54% or 910 points to trade at 59980 at the close. Meanwhile, ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) added 1.38% or 20 points to end at 1470 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) was up 1.21% or 410 points to 34310 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gazit Globe (TA:GZT), which fell 2.37% or 81 points to trade at 3337 at the close. Frutarom (TA:FRUT) declined 1.12% or 240 points to end at 21100 and Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) was down 1.01% or 6.7 points to 657.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 187 to 164 and 92 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.01% or 6.7 to 657.0.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 3.47% or 1.61 to $47.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 3.61% or 1.69 to hit $48.55 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.44% or 5.30 to trade at $1214.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.40% to 3.8719, while EUR/ILS fell 0.11% to 4.1115.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.40% at 101.00.
