Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Communication, Financials and Biomed sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 gained 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF), which rose 3.56% or 163 points to trade at 4743 at the close. Meanwhile, OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) added 3.10% or 197 points to end at 6550 and Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) was up 1.91% or 13.0 points to 693.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which fell 1.64% or 1220 points to trade at 73270 at the close. Gazit Globe (TA:GZT) declined 1.51% or 73 points to end at 4775 and Avner L (TA:AVNRp) was down 0.83% or 2.7 points to 323.3.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 178 to 165 and 110 ended unchanged.
Shares in Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.56% or 163 to 4743.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.91% or 0.54 to $58.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.78% or 0.49 to hit $62.81 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.19% or 2.20 to trade at $1170.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.57% to 3.8418, while EUR/ILS rose 0.25% to 4.3035.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.53% at 95.86.
