Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Communication and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.39%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 3.54% or 40 points to trade at 1171 at the close. Meanwhile, Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) added 2.47% or 250 points to end at 10390 and Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) was up 2.37% or 4.0 points to 172.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Strauss Group (TA:STRS), which fell 2.86% or 225 points to trade at 7655 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) declined 2.78% or 179 points to end at 6270 and Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF) was down 2.09% or 142 points to 6650.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 200 to 174 and 25 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.61% or 0.37 to $61.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.51% or 0.33 to hit $65.22 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.65% or 8.60 to trade at $1317.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.25% to 3.4446, while EUR/ILS fell 0.09% to 4.2450.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 90.01.
