Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Food, Financials and Retail sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 1.54%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr), which rose 10.06% or 0.032 points to trade at 0.350 at the close. Meanwhile, Centric Hold (AT:DESr) added 9.17% or 0.011 points to end at 0.131 and Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr) was up 8.14% or 0.04 points to 0.48 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aegean Airlines (AT:AGNr), which fell 6.30% or 0.57 points to trade at 8.48 at the close. Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) declined 5.88% or 0.090 points to end at 1.440 and Coca Cola HBC AG (AT:EEEr) was down 4.07% or 0.7200 points to 16.9800.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 57 to 43 and 17 ended unchanged.
Gold for June delivery was up 0.10% or 1.30 to $1272.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.22% or 0.57 to hit $46.13 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.81% or 0.39 to trade at $47.69 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.76% to 1.1290, while EUR/GBP rose 0.27% to 0.7866.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.71% at 94.78.
