Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Utilities, Financials and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 9.68% or 0.0150 points to trade at 0.1700 at the close. Meanwhile, Hygeia (AT:HYGr) added 8.70% or 0.022 points to end at 0.275 and Iaso (AT:IASr) was up 3.82% or 0.020 points to 0.544 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr), which fell 4.74% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.201 at the close. Korres (AT:KRRr) declined 3.61% or 0.130 points to end at 3.470 and Petros Petropoulos SA (AT:PTRr) was down 3.53% or 0.160 points to 4.370.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 64 to 29 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Hygeia (AT:HYGr) rose to 52-week highs; up 8.70% or 0.022 to 0.275.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.01% or 0.10 to $1283.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.18% or 0.09 to hit $50.76 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.11% or 0.06 to trade at $52.87 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.49% to 1.0764, while EUR/GBP rose 0.08% to 0.8387.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 99.41.
