Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Retail, Basic Resources and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite fell 0.43%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr), which rose 7.74% or 0.04 points to trade at 0.52 at the close. Meanwhile, Coca Cola HBC AG (AT:EEEr) added 4.28% or 0.7200 points to end at 17.5600 and Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) was up 3.73% or 0.028 points to 0.778 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr), which fell 6.67% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.28 at the close. Autohellas (AT:AUTr) declined 3.90% or 0.45 points to end at 11.10 and Folli Follie (AT:HDFr) was down 3.00% or 0.57 points to 18.43.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 54 to 39 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold for June delivery was up 0.31% or 3.95 to $1276.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 2.94% or 1.36 to hit $47.57 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 2.61% or 1.25 to trade at $49.08 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.13% to 1.1328, while EUR/GBP fell 0.01% to 0.7869.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.14% at 94.47.
