Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Resources and Retail sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite fell 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Frigoglass (AT:FRIr), which rose 14.37% or 0.24 points to trade at 1.91 at the close. Meanwhile, Nireus Aqua (AT:NIRr) added 7.69% or 0.007 points to end at 0.098 and Fourlis Hld (AT:FRLr) was up 6.59% or 0.18 points to 2.91 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr), which fell 9.46% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.287 at the close. Alpha Bank (AT:ACBr) declined 4.90% or 0.017 points to end at 0.330 and Metka (AT:MTKr) was down 3.53% or 0.30 points to 8.21.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 39 to 38 and 1 ended unchanged.
Shares in Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) fell to 52-week lows; losing 9.46% or 0.030 to 0.287.
Gold for June delivery was up 0.19% or 2.30 to $1184.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.24% or 0.14 to hit $59.08 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.66% or 0.43 to trade at $65.11 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.43% to 1.1218, while EUR/GBP fell 1.64% to 0.7268.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.13% at 94.85.
