Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Travel, Telecoms and Media sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Hygeia (AT:HYGr), which rose 8.81% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.247 at the close. Meanwhile, Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) added 5.13% or 0.008 points to end at 0.165 and Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) was up 4.67% or 0.023 points to 0.516 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr), which fell 4.05% or 0.1500 points to trade at 3.6700 at the close. Intralot (AT:INLr) declined 3.42% or 0.040 points to end at 1.130 and Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr) was down 2.51% or 0.008 points to 0.311.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 56 to 50 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Hygeia (AT:HYGr) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 8.81% or 0.020 to 0.247.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.62% or 7.45 to $1201.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 2.37% or 1.19 to hit $49.09 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 2.22% or 1.18 to trade at $51.93 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.28% to 1.0570, while EUR/GBP rose 0.44% to 0.8701.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 102.04.
