Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Retail, Household and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 0.12% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 9.27% or 0.0190 points to trade at 0.2250 at the close. Meanwhile, National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) added 4.55% or 0.01 points to end at 0.23 and Halcor (AT:XAKO) was up 3.56% or 0.011 points to 0.320 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Intralot (AT:INLr), which fell 3.96% or 0.040 points to trade at 0.970 at the close. Select Textile (AT:EPIr) declined 3.90% or 0.008 points to end at 0.197 and Folli Follie (AT:HDFr) was down 3.67% or 0.71 points to 18.65.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 52 to 51 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Intralot (AT:INLr) fell to 3-years lows; losing 3.96% or 0.040 to 0.970.
Gold for August delivery was up 0.11% or 1.45 to $1288.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.31% or 0.64 to hit $48.24 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 1.55% or 0.78 to trade at $49.57 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.72% to 1.1211, while EUR/GBP rose 0.29% to 0.7946.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.60% at 94.99.
