Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Media, Banking and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite fell 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 9.55% or 0.0150 points to trade at 0.1720 at the close. Meanwhile, Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr) added 6.06% or 0.010 points to end at 0.175 and Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) was up 3.87% or 0.070 points to 1.880 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr), which fell 6.59% or 0.2900 points to trade at 4.1100 at the close. Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) declined 4.21% or 0.008 points to end at 0.182 and Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) was down 3.56% or 0.020 points to 0.542.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 58 to 47 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) rose to 52-week highs; up 3.87% or 0.070 to 1.880.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.17% or 2.20 to $1266.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.32% or 1.15 to hit $48.47 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 2.29% or 1.20 to trade at $51.21 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.33% to 1.0868, while EUR/GBP fell 0.75% to 0.8425.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 99.06.
