Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Banking and Food sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR), which rose 5.71% or 0.800 points to trade at 14.800 at the close. Meanwhile, J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr) added 3.91% or 0.022 points to end at 0.584 and Karatzi (AT:KRTr) was up 2.74% or 0.200 points to 7.500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were K.L.M. (AT:KLUr), which fell 10.39% or 0.080 points to trade at 0.690 at the close. Elastron SA (AT:ELSRr) declined 5.19% or 0.0700 points to end at 1.2800 and Elton S.A. (AT:ELNr) was down 4.46% or 0.070 points to 1.500.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 53 to 51 and 20 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.04% or 0.50 to $1301.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.84% or 1.19 to hit $65.92 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 2.10% or 1.58 to trade at $76.94 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.45% to 1.1827, while EUR/GBP rose 0.32% to 0.8807.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 93.32.
