Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Media, Oil & Gas and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite rose 1.75% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Euro Reliance (AT:EREr), which rose 10.43% or 0.290 points to trade at 3.070 at the close. Meanwhile, Select Textile (AT:EPIr) added 9.31% or 0.019 points to end at 0.220 and Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) was up 8.24% or 0.0140 points to 0.1870 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Folli Follie (AT:HDFr), which fell 5.12% or 1.10 points to trade at 20.40 at the close. Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) declined 4.23% or 0.008 points to end at 0.181 and Halcor (AT:XAKO) was down 3.19% or 0.020 points to 0.607.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 81 to 24 and 12 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.72% or 8.81 to $1218.29 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.03% or 0.48 to hit $45.95 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 1.16% or 0.57 to trade at $48.77 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.33% to 1.0888, while EUR/GBP fell 0.27% to 0.8417.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 99.39.
