Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Resources, Banking and Household sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite rose 1.52% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Mytilineos Holdings SA (AT:MYTr), which rose 6.06% or 0.330 points to trade at 5.780 at the close. Meanwhile, Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) added 5.36% or 0.030 points to end at 0.590 and National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) was up 5.26% or 0.01 points to 0.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Creta Plastics (AT:PLAKR), which fell 3.93% or 0.200 points to trade at 4.890 at the close. Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) declined 2.98% or 0.170 points to end at 5.520 and Intralot (AT:INLr) was down 2.78% or 0.030 points to 1.050.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 67 to 29 and 13 ended unchanged.

Gold for December delivery was up 0.31% or 3.75 to $1227.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.83% or 0.38 to hit $45.95 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.64% or 0.30 to trade at $46.93 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.13% to 1.0677, while EUR/GBP fell 0.20% to 0.8574.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 100.48.
