Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Travel, Telecoms and Retail sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite added 1.30%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 7.80% or 0.0110 points to trade at 0.1520 at the close. Meanwhile, Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) added 4.55% or 0.022 points to end at 0.479 and Select Textile (AT:EPIr) was up 3.82% or 0.006 points to 0.172 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which fell 6.42% or 0.024 points to trade at 0.351 at the close. Centric Hold (AT:DESr) declined 5.88% or 0.006 points to end at 0.096 and Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) was down 2.23% or 0.040 points to 1.750.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 66 to 30 and 25 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.27% or 3.35 to $1235.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.90% or 1.02 to hit $54.80 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 1.55% or 0.87 to trade at $57.05 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.73% to 1.0534, while EUR/GBP fell 0.77% to 0.8453.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.54% at 101.46.
