Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Travel, Utilities and Basic Resources sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite rose 1.09%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Autohellas (AT:AUTr), which rose 10.00% or 1.14 points to trade at 11.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Iaso (AT:IASr) added 9.87% or 0.044 points to end at 0.490 and Public Power (AT:DEHr) was up 6.26% or 0.31 points to 5.26 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr), which fell 15.00% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.09 at the close. Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) declined 6.54% or 0.07 points to end at 1.00 and Halcor (AT:XAKO) was down 5.92% or 0.017 points to 0.270.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 63 to 37 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) fell to all time lows; falling 15.00% or 0.01 to 0.09.
Gold for December delivery was down 1.27% or 13.60 to $1056.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 2.18% or 0.94 to hit $42.10 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.91% or 0.41 to trade at $45.05 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.0594, while EUR/GBP rose 0.19% to 0.7040.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 100.10.
