Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Chemicals and Household sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite rose 1.06%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Intracom Hold (AT:INRr), which rose 12.58% or 0.039 points to trade at 0.349 at the close. Meanwhile, Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr) added 9.38% or 0.030 points to end at 0.350 and Korres (AT:KRRr) was up 7.00% or 0.240 points to 3.670 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which fell 9.52% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.095 at the close. Select Textile (AT:EPIr) declined 8.81% or 0.014 points to end at 0.145 and Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) was down 1.09% or 0.002 points to 0.181.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 68 to 33 and 19 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.10% or 1.25 to $1227.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.96% or 0.51 to hit $53.44 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 1.22% or 0.68 to trade at $56.27 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.22% to 1.0576, while EUR/GBP rose 0.28% to 0.8484.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 101.25.
