Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Household, Retail and Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite rose 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr), which rose 9.74% or 0.015 points to trade at 0.169 at the close. Meanwhile, Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) added 8.00% or 0.0120 points to end at 0.1620 and FHL I Kiriakidis Marbles and Granites SA (AT:KRKr) was up 6.01% or 0.170 points to 3.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which fell 6.60% or 0.007 points to trade at 0.099 at the close. Coca Cola HBC AG (AT:EEEr) declined 2.45% or 0.5000 points to end at 19.8700 and Aegean Airlines (AT:AGNr) was down 1.68% or 0.10 points to 5.87.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 48 to 43 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aegean Airlines (AT:AGNr) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.68% or 0.10 to 5.87.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.18% or 2.25 to $1274.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 3.04% or 1.48 to hit $47.22 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 3.41% or 1.73 to trade at $48.95 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.21% to 1.0963, while EUR/GBP fell 0.40% to 0.8980.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.16% at 98.47.
