Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Retail, Basic Resources and Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite added 0.45%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which rose 12.97% or 0.045 points to trade at 0.382 at the close. Meanwhile, Halcor (AT:XAKO) added 4.67% or 0.025 points to end at 0.560 and Folli Follie (AT:HDFr) was up 3.33% or 0.59 points to 18.29 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which fell 8.51% or 0.016 points to trade at 0.185 at the close. Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) declined 2.82% or 0.230 points to end at 7.920 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) was down 2.75% or 0.003 points to 0.106.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 62 to 38 and 19 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 2.34% or 28.05 to $1228.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.57% or 0.28 to hit $48.58 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.35% or 0.18 to trade at $51.63 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.03% to 1.0735, while EUR/GBP fell 0.60% to 0.8681.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 100.21.
