Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Retail, Chemicals and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite added 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Intracom Hold (AT:INRr), which rose 5.23% or 0.015 points to trade at 0.302 at the close. Meanwhile, Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr) added 4.69% or 0.003 points to end at 0.067 and Gek Terna (AT:HRMr) was up 3.97% or 0.05 points to 1.31 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Iaso (AT:IASr), which fell 8.05% or 0.040 points to trade at 0.457 at the close. Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) declined 4.12% or 0.007 points to end at 0.163 and Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) was down 3.73% or 0.050 points to 1.290.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 48 to 46 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) fell to all time lows; falling 3.73% or 0.050 to 1.290.
Gold for February delivery was up 0.88% or 9.60 to $1105.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 4.92% or 1.58 to hit $30.61 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 3.87% or 1.27 to trade at $31.57 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.32% to 1.0832, while EUR/GBP rose 0.40% to 0.7599.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.14% at 99.46.
