Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Travel, Media and Retail sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 2.50%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Intralot (AT:INLr), which rose 20.37% or 0.077 points to trade at 0.455 at the close. Meanwhile, Intracom Holdings SA (AT:INRr) added 14.73% or 0.081 points to end at 0.631 and Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) was up 13.03% or 0.0640 points to 0.5550 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Reds (AT:CAMr), which fell 9.68% or 0.075 points to trade at 0.700 at the close. Elastron SA (AT:ELSRr) declined 3.49% or 0.0400 points to end at 1.1050 and Kekrops SA (AT:KEKr) was down 2.70% or 0.0400 points to 1.4400.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 68 to 38 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.25% or 3.10 to $1232.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 2.37% or 1.19 to hit $51.48 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 1.32% or 0.78 to trade at $59.87 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.22% to 1.1391, while EUR/GBP rose 0.53% to 0.8910.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 96.672.
