Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Utilities, Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 1.75%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 0.49% or 0.05 points to trade at 10.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) added 0.03% or 0.01 points to end at 35.49 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELI1V) was down 0.30% or 0.10 points to 33.13 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 7.46% or 0.3220 points to trade at 3.9920 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) declined 5.23% or 0.30 points to end at 5.53 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was down 5.16% or 0.196 points to 3.600.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 115 to 56 and 18 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 0.69% or 0.31 to $44.76 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.39% or 0.61 to hit $43.12 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.00% or 12.35 to trade at $1242.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.45% to 1.1273, while EUR/GBP fell 0.10% to 0.7776.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.45% at 94.68.
