Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Financials and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 1.03%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 1.26% or 0.065 points to trade at 5.215 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 1.06% or 0.0800 points to end at 7.6150 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 0.31% or 0.12 points to 38.47 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which fell 2.06% or 0.084 points to trade at 4.000 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) declined 1.96% or 0.195 points to end at 9.750 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was down 1.84% or 0.27 points to 14.39.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 127 to 47 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.26% or 0.065 to 5.215.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 1.97% or 0.95 to $49.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 2.21% or 1.02 to hit $47.08 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.90% or 10.60 to trade at $1189.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.08% to 1.0579, while EUR/GBP rose 0.45% to 0.8528.
The US Dollar Index was unchanged 0.00% at 101.48.
