Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.70%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA), which rose 1.42% or 0.55 points to trade at 39.28 at the close. Meanwhile, Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) added 0.35% or 0.05 points to end at 14.43 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) was up 0.26% or 0.12 points to 47.02 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which fell 4.68% or 0.37 points to trade at 7.53 at the close. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) declined 3.72% or 1.19 points to end at 30.81 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was down 2.86% or 0.175 points to 5.945.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 83 to 57 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.42% or 0.55 to 39.28.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 2.34% or 1.10 to $45.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 2.63% or 1.17 to hit $43.26 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 0.95 to trade at $1245.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.22% to 1.1124, while EUR/GBP rose 0.72% to 0.8814.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 97.47.
