Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Utilities and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.68%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 2.88% or 0.1950 points to trade at 6.9550 at the close. Meanwhile, Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 1.04% or 0.60 points to end at 58.15 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 0.93% or 0.055 points to 6.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which fell 2.52% or 0.19 points to trade at 7.34 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) declined 1.80% or 0.51 points to end at 27.79 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) was down 1.59% or 0.57 points to 35.28.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 85 to 56 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) rose to all time highs; up 1.04% or 0.60 to 58.15.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.85% or 0.39 to $45.63 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.64% or 0.28 to hit $43.23 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 2.42 to trade at $1245.92 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.08% to 1.1143, while EUR/GBP fell 0.16% to 0.8802.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 97.37.
