Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.56%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 2.08% or 0.15 points to trade at 7.62 at the close. Meanwhile, Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 1.44% or 0.075 points to end at 5.285 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) was up 1.26% or 0.35 points to 28.14 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V), which fell 3.42% or 0.320 points to trade at 9.030 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) declined 1.81% or 0.090 points to end at 4.872 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) was down 1.46% or 0.61 points to 41.09.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 93 to 79 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.08% or 0.15 to 7.62.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.32% or 0.70 to $52.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.21% or 0.62 to hit $50.73 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.16% or 2.00 to trade at $1258.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.70% to 1.1058, while EUR/GBP rose 0.48% to 0.9050.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.68% at 97.57.
