Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V), which rose 1.23% or 0.140 points to trade at 11.550 at the close. Meanwhile, Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 0.83% or 0.45 points to end at 54.75 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 0.61% or 0.23 points to 38.19 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which fell 5.66% or 2.27 points to trade at 37.81 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 4.30% or 0.300 points to end at 6.670 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was down 2.57% or 0.2150 points to 8.1650.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 78 to 64 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.23% or 0.140 to 11.550. Shares in Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) rose to all time highs; up 0.83% or 0.45 to 54.75.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 0.18% or 0.09 to $50.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $47.64 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.55% or 6.95 to trade at $1250.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.12% to 1.0917, while EUR/GBP rose 0.08% to 0.8455.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 98.94.
