Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Consumer Goods and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 1.15% or 0.057 points to trade at 5.015 at the close. Meanwhile, Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) added 0.57% or 0.25 points to end at 44.10 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) was up 0.47% or 0.20 points to 43.18 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 4.86% or 0.285 points to trade at 5.585 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 3.75% or 0.3500 points to end at 8.9850 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was down 3.74% or 0.81 points to 20.84.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 98 to 36 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.74% or 0.81 to 20.84.
Brent oil for June delivery was down 0.22% or 0.11 to $50.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.77% or 0.37 to hit $47.60 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.53% or 6.65 to trade at $1255.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.70% to 1.0874, while EUR/GBP fell 0.12% to 0.8649.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.66% at 98.93.
